Director of Rugby | Tom Hannell
Tom Hannell has been a committed member of Bletchley Rugby Club since moving to the area in 1994 and joining the club’s junior section shortly after.
He progressed through the age groups and made his 1st XV debut in 1999, going on to become a mainstay in the senior men’s setup for over two decades. Tom played a key role in the squad that achieved promotion to Level 5, one of the most competitive and successful periods in the club’s history.
A consistent presence on and off the field, Tom’s leadership, experience, and commitment to Bletchley have made him a respected figure across the club. He has helped mentor younger players and has always led by example — both in performance and attitude.
Now serving as Director of Men’s Rugby, Tom plays a central role in shaping the future of the senior section, supporting player development, and maintaining the strong culture that defines Bletchley Rugby Club.
Coach | Brett Staniford
Brett Staniford is a lifelong member of Bletchley Rugby Club, having proudly represented the club at every age group since joining at the age of 10. His rugby journey also saw him represent Buckinghamshire County at U18 level and compete for the Northampton Alliance, before earning his first 1XV cap for Bletchley. As part of a determined and successful senior squad, Brett contributed to multiple league victories, including the prestigious promotion into South West 1 (Level 5).
Following his playing career, Brett transitioned into coaching, starting with the Bletchley U10s alongside fellow clubman Steve Fulton. The duo guided the squad all the way through to Colts, helping to nurture the next generation of Bletchley talent.
Brett then expanded his coaching experience by joining Ampthill Academy under the leadership of Paul Allen, working alongside coaches Darren Moore and Ron Henry. During his tenure, the academy enjoyed an exceptional run of success, culminating in strong league and cup performances. As lead coach in his second season, Brett helped guide the team to a 3rd place finish in the HML League, retained the Beds Cup title for a second consecutive year, and celebrated a tournament victory on tour in Gent.
In a bittersweet farewell to Ampthill, marked by deep appreciation for the journey Brett is now back at Bletchley, with a wealth of coaching experience and a renewed passion to support the development of the senior men’s teams. Committed to the values of grassroots rugby, he aims to assist in growing the club both on and off the pitch—ensuring Bletchley continues to serve as a welcoming and competitive hub for the local community.

Coach | Darron Moore
Darron’s rugby journey spans an impressive career across numerous Hertfordshire clubs, marked by his skill, commitment, and natural leadership. As a young man, he enjoyed a standout spell with Wasps RFC, training and playing alongside some of the game’s true legends. These formative years instilled not only top-level technical ability but also the professional standards and values that still guide his coaching today.
