Bletchley U16’s traveled the short distance to local team Ampthill today in what would be Bletchley’s first Ready4Rugby fixture.

it was warm, the sun was out and the ground was soft under foot. The rugby gods definitely must have been looking down on us, the wether was perfect.

After a quick briefing on the rules and a reminder about the Covid regs, both clubs split their teams into 3 groups of 7 and the 7v7 matches began.

With great rugby from both sides being showcased, it wasn’t long before some awesome, we’ll worked trys we’re being scored by both sides, giving the mums/dads/carers something to cheer about.

Everywhere you looked it was clear to see the lads from both sides were very happy doing what they love to do, PLAYING COMPETITIVE RUGBY (even if it’s only touch in these troublesome times)

All in all a fantastic day of rugby.

A big THANK YOU to Ampthill RUFC for hosting, and we look forward to welcoming you to Bletchley soon.
