Super Saturday at The Manor

Super Saturday at The Manor

Tom Sharp4 Mar - 19:00

1st XV host Oxford in the return leg, 2nd XV face Milton Keynes in a huge local derby

It’s a Super Saturday of rugby at Bletchley this weekend, with both senior sides in action at The Manor and both fixtures kicking off at 2:00pm. Two league matches, two big challenges, and a huge opportunity for the club to come together.

1st XV vs Oxford (Home)

  • Kick Off: 2:00pm
  • Competition: Counties 1 Tribute Ale Southern North

The 1st XV welcome Oxford for the return leg of what proved to be a hard-fought encounter earlier in the season. Bletchley came away with the win last time these sides met, but this weekend presents a fresh challenge.

Oxford currently sit 6th in the league, with Bletchley in 10th, making this a key fixture in the middle of the table. Oxford have shown consistency throughout the campaign and will arrive looking to reverse the earlier result. For Bletchley, it’s about backing belief with performance - staying disciplined, competing physically, and taking chances when they come.

With home advantage and a big crowd behind them, the 1st XV will be aiming to rise to the occasion once again.

2nd XV vs Milton Keynes 2nd XV (Home)

  • Kick Off: 2:00pm
  • Competition: East Midlands 2 – Bedfordshire (Silver)

Derby day returns for the 2nd XV as they host Milton Keynes 2s in what promises to be another fiercely competitive encounter.

The last meeting between the two sides was decided by a single point - a narrow defeat for Bletchley - and that memory will still be fresh. Local derbies always bring added intensity, pride and edge, and with both teams knowing each other well, this one could once again come down to fine margins.

There’s everything to play for, and in derby fixtures, league positions often count for little. Expect commitment, energy and a full-blooded contest from the first whistle.

Six Nations at the Clubhouse
The rugby doesn’t stop at full-time. Following the matches, the clubhouse will be showing Italy vs England in the Six Nations, with kick-off at 4:40pm.

Supporters are encouraged to stay on after the games, enjoy the atmosphere, and make a full afternoon of it with international rugby on the screens.

Get Behind Both Sides
With both senior teams at home, it’s a brilliant opportunity to fill The Manor with maroon and white. Your support genuinely makes a difference - especially in tight league matches and local derbies.

Get down early, back both teams, and be part of what promises to be a huge afternoon of rugby at Bletchley.
