His relentless drive and willingness to put the team first will ensure that the 1st XV squad is in capable hands.
Vice Captain: Cameron Watkins
Supporting Hugo will be Cameron, whose influence extends well beyond the pitch. A relentless force both on and off the field, Cameron brings energy, composure, and commitment to everything he does. His ability to inspire teammates and lead by example makes him the ideal vice captain to help guide the squad forward.

Building for the Future
The appointment of these captains and vice captains marks an exciting moment in the club’s journey. They represent not only leadership on matchdays but also the values of hard work, respect, and unity that underpin everything we do.
Chief Rugby Officer, Paul Allen, said the following “I’m incredibly proud to confirm our senior men’s leadership team for the 2025/26 season. Hugo Govett has grown into a natural leader and sets the standard with his professionalism and consistency making him the perfect candidate to lead the 1st XV, while Cameron Watkins brings energy, drive, and a real competitive edge to the 1s. Between them, they’ll provide the balance and direction we need at the top level and bounce off each other. Between them, their shared leadership will provide exactly what is needed to bring the 1st XV forward for a successful season.
For the 2nd XV, Dean Williams takes on the captaincy with the experience, calmness, and rugby intelligence that the squad will thrive under. Importantly, Dean’s elevation to the 2nd XV captaincy underscores his leadership, work ethic, and unwavering passion for Bletchley Rugby Club. That said, his experience and presence will remain an invaluable asset to the 1st XV. Whether guiding from the front in the 2nd XV or stepping in to bolster the 1st XV when called upon, Dean embodies our club’s spirit of commitment and unity. which is a huge benefit for the club. Alongside him, Kelvin Rudkin offers strength, commitment, and an example of what it means to play for Bletchley, making him the perfect partner to guide the 2s. Kelvin had been a stalwart of the 2nd XV for many years and we are proud to have him as a part of our leadership team.
This group reflects the depth of character we have in the club, and I’ve no doubt they’ll drive both squads forward this season.”
As we look ahead to the 2025/26 league campaign, our senior men’s squads are in strong hands. With this leadership team at the helm, we are confident of a season filled with determination, progress, and pride in the jersey.
We wish Hugo, Cameron, Dean, and Kelvin every success in their new roles and look forward to watching them inspire both their teammates and the wider club community.
