Bletchley Rugby Club is pleased to announce its new committee following the club's Annual General Meeting held on Friday evening.
The AGM marked the beginning of a new chapter for the club, with a number of members stepping into new roles as BRUFC continues its work both on and off the field ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Following a successful tenure as Chairman, Verity Robinson has stepped down from the role. On behalf of the entire club, we would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Verity for her dedication, leadership and commitment over a number of years.
Verity helped guide the club through the challenging post-Covid period, providing stability and direction during a time of significant change. Her hard work has helped lay strong foundations upon which the club can continue to build.
New Chairman Appointed
Taking over as Chairman is Tom Hannell.
A near 30-year veteran of Bletchley Rugby Club, Tom is a familiar face around Manor Fields. Having represented the club as a 1st XV stalwart and most recently serving as Head of Men's Rugby, Tom brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion to the position.
Tom's commitment to the maroon and white has been evident throughout his time at the club and we look forward to seeing his vision help shape the next phase of BRUFC's development.
Vice Chair Role Filled
Also stepping into a new position is Orlaine Connor, who takes on the role of Vice Chair.
Following her successful work as Bar & Events Manager, Orlaine has played a key role in enhancing the club's social offering and creating memorable experiences for members, sponsors and visitors. Her enthusiasm and drive will be a valuable addition to the leadership team.
Looking Ahead
Alongside Tom and Orlaine, a number of other members have also taken on new committee positions or expanded responsibilities following the AGM.
The continued willingness of volunteers to dedicate their time, expertise and energy to the club is vital to the success of Bletchley Rugby Club and ensures we remain well positioned for the future.
As preparations continue for the 2026/27 season, the club would like to thank all outgoing and incoming committee members for their commitment to BRUFC and wishes the new committee every success in the years ahead.
