At Bletchley Rugby Club, we know that everyone learns in different ways — and we embrace that. As part of our Pre-Season Training, on Sunday 3rd August, our Academy players took part in an engaging pitchside learning session that included clear explanations, interactive questions, visual aids, videos, and diagrams. This multi-faceted approach helps every player, no matter their learning style, to fully understand the game and build their rugby knowledge.

After our classroom-style learning on the sidelines, we headed straight onto the pitch to put our new skills into action. The session started with some fun and challenging wrestling drills to build strength and confidence, followed by focused safe tackle technique practice, ensuring players develop their contact skills safely and effectively. We then moved into a full game scenario, giving our players the chance to apply their learning in a realistic, competitive setting.

The effort and aptitude shown by our players were fantastic — we are proud of their commitment to improving every week.

A huge thank you also goes out to our five dedicated coaches, whose combined expertise allows us to provide tailored, individual attention to every player. At Bletchley Rugby Club, we don’t just train rugby players — we invest in people, building confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a lifelong love for the game.
