Bletchley scrum-half earns his place on the world stage

Bletchley Rugby Club is delighted to announce that Jack Sharp, our 1st Team scrum-half, has officially secured qualification for the HYROX World Championships in Stockholm. This achievement represents not only a personal milestone for Jack but also a proud moment for the entire club as the Bletchley Rugby name prepares to be showcased on a global platform.

HYROX has rapidly become one of the world’s leading fitness competitions, attracting athletes from across the globe. Combining functional fitness with endurance, competitors complete eight 1km runs, each followed by a demanding workout station - from sled pushes and burpees to rowing and sandbag lunges. It is a test designed to push even the fittest athletes to their limits. Only top-performing individuals qualify for the World Championships, highlighting the scale of Jack’s accomplishment.

Jack’s commitment to his fitness and performance is widely recognised throughout Bletchley Rugby Club. On the field, he is known for his sharp decision-making, speed around the breakdown, and ability to control the tempo of play. Off the field, he has poured countless hours into HYROX training - demonstrating the same determination, discipline, and competitive spirit that makes him such a key figure in the 1st Team squad.

His qualification is the result of months of hard graft, consistency, and personal sacrifice. It’s a moment he has worked tirelessly toward, and one that truly reflects his drive to push boundaries and achieve at the highest level. As he steps onto the world stage in Stockholm, Jack will not only be representing himself but also flying the flag for Bletchley Rugby and the wider Maroon & White community.

We are incredibly proud of Jack and look forward to supporting him as he prepares for this extraordinary challenge. His achievement is an inspiration to players across the club - a reminder of what can be accomplished through dedication, resilience, and belief.

Stockholm awaits - and Jack is ready for the world.
