After an encouraging start to the new campaign last weekend, Bletchley’s 1st XV are straight back into action as they travel to Bicester RFC this Saturday for a 14:30 kick off.

Last season, Bletchley secured a solid 5th-place finish, while Bicester ended the year in 10th. On paper that sets the visitors as slight favourites, but nothing is ever guaranteed in this league. Bicester will be eager to prove a point on home soil, and Bletchley know they’ll need to carry over the intensity and work-rate shown in the league opener if they’re to come away with the result.

The performance last weekend gave plenty of positives to build on. With several exciting new players bedding into the squad and the team showing good cohesion early in the season, this trip to Bicester offers the perfect chance to keep momentum rolling. Expect a hard-fought encounter with plenty of physicality up front and pace out wide.
