Many will have seen that we received planning permission for the Club extension in October. This process took longer than expected due to objections over the removal of a tree but this has been resolved with the help of our local Councillor and Vice President Mick Klein and we are now in the process of obtaining building regulations approval.
We hope to have achieved this by Christmas.
Once we have full approval we will produce a fully costed project plan for the approval of our major funders (the RFU and WREN).
At that point we will know how much they are prepared to give us in grants and when the money will be available (we believe this will be in the new financial year (starting April)).
We will then put the work out to tender and will then know exactly how much we will have to find ourselves and will plan a fundraising campaign accordingly.
We remain confident the new facilities will be ready for the new season and now that the project is moving along we will publish regular updates on this website.
