Dear Party on the Pitch veterans and new blood,
Planning for Party on the Pitch 09 is well under way so as is customary now is the time for our usual call to the volunteers.
I appreciate that not all of you well be able to make an evening meeting so I am suggesting we meet on Saturday 6th June 2PM at the Club, beers are on me. As usual this year we require a range of volunteers from bar and catering through to litter picking and marshals. If you are interested in volunteering but can not make the meeting please let men know. Remember you will only be able to camp if you volunteer to do something.
In terms of the event itself we have decided to make a number of changes this year. Firstly the main music, event and bar areas will be on pitch 2, this will leave pitch 1 free for rugby and we have games for both Saturday and Sunday. The main format change is the Friday night will be a ticket only ‘Hog Roast Hoe Down disco event thingy’ which will include Food Beer Music and some fun activities. I’ll keep you posted on this.
As for the whole weekend we will have the usual Beer Music and Fun Fair but this year we wanted to add something so we could make it more interesting and also encourage more club members and outsiders to come along. So we thought this year we want to use the weekend to showcase as many sports and activities as possible and encourage as many families to come along and try as many different sports as they can.
We already have some activities booked but we are looking for more, if you know of, or you or your kids are involved in any other sports could you ask them if they would be willing to come down to Manor Fields on the August bank Holiday (Saturday and Sunday only) , to showcase their sport. Please let me know of any interest or pass contact details to me,

We will also be offering the squads to run their own activities this year so they can raise squad funds. Could we have squad suggestions in by the end of June.
As you know the event would not be the success it is without the work of the volunteers so please I know there will be a lot of you that this will be your 3rd year so I ask you to yes if you can encourage as many new people to volunteer so we lighten everyone load.
See you on the 6th June
