Frampton Cotterell 12 - Bletchley Colts 24

Bletchley victorious in West Country sunshine
Bletchley took on Frampton Cotterell in the first match of Bletchley's 2019 Tour to the West Country. A glorious day for free running rugby saw a cracking game of rugby from two equally matched teams
The first scrum of the game saw the usually dominant Bletchley pack go backwards and it was no surprise that Frampton took an early 7-0 lead. Bletchley then started to shake off their friday night hangovers and began to play some free flowing rugby with George Hendry going over before half time and an Albie Read conversion tying the scores.
The second half saw early dominance from Bletchley and were rewarded when big 2nd row Chris Burge side-stepped his way over for a second converted (Albie Read) try. Jonny Byatt then added to the score with another try, converted by James Oliver, to take Bletchley to a 21-7 lead.
Frampton came back with a late try but a last minute penalty by Albie Read saw Bletchley home 24-12.
A cracking game played in a fantastic tour spirit. Huge thanks to our hosts Frampton Cotterell for their welcome and amazing hospitality.
