Event Organiser, Pete Renson, extends a big THANK YOU to those who attended for making the event such a great success once again and for those that couldn't attend asks, "Where were you?, ‘cos you missed out!!"
Pete tells us he can say no more without first recognising the team of volunteers who planned, implemented and subsequently dismantled the event. As he says, the list of names is too long to add here (which is a success in itself and reflects the increasing number of people supporting their Club) but "you know who you are and can be justifiably proud of what you achieved." In fact, if Party on the Pitch was an Olympic sport we would all have just won a gold medal!
The weather was about the only thing that didn’t surpass last year’s event, but after a “damp” start to Saturday and a couple of showers it was warm and dry.

It was great to see the both the Hummer from Horizon Radio down and their bouncy Horizon Megaslide which was a great hit with the kids.
(Visit horizonradiomk.co.uk as they have many pictures of the event on show.)

The “drag” rugby players were quite a sight on Saturday afternoon in their wide brimmed hats and matching handbags, although they looked a little worse for wear by the end of the match.
Justin’s memorial game on Sunday was won by the Bletchley vets 20-15 in a very closely contested match, although it was probably all square in the beer tent afterwards where our friends also enjoyed sampling the liquid refreshments!
Event Vital Statistics
