Members will have noted that the Club has been the centre of some unpleasent stories in the press following our sponsorship by Ego Massage. Ego is a local business fully licensed by Milton Keynes Council who answered a fundraising appeal by the Club. However it transpires Ego's owners have been accused of owning other business interests which are not in line with Bletchley RUFC's family values. In light of this Bletchley RUFC will not be accepting the £100 of match ball sponsorship from Ego Massage. Bletchley RUFC continues to look to local businesses to offer support to their local rugby club and sincerely apologises for any embarrassment this story has caused our members.

On Wednesday the Northampton and District Alliance Under 14s beat Hunts and Peterborough Under 14s 15-12 in a keenly contested match at Manor Fields. The referee commented on the high technical ability and excellent behaviour of both sets of players. Although there were no Bletchley players representing Northampton District the team is coached by Mark Bailey of our Under 12s.
Bletchley RUFC have been thanked by the Alliance for continuing to support the Alliance Under 14s. Special mention was made of Nikki Williams for providing food and a bar after the game, which was much appreciated by many. |

Bletchley Colt player, Johua Sprules, has been selected to attend an England Deaf Rugby ( http://www.englanddeafrugby.com/ ) training session.
Tony Stoyles, Director of England Deaf Rugby, came to Bletchley to watch Josh play for Bletchley Colts against Rusden & Higham Colts last Saturday 27 February. A game in which Bletchley ran out 67 – 3 winners with Josh bagging a try.
Afterwards Tony said “despite the rain!....the match was good to watch” and tongue in cheek “a little better than England vs Ireland!!!” More importantly Tony said “Josh has all the key skills & certainly looks promising for the future” extending an offer to Josh to attend the England Deaf Rugby Team’s next training session at Stowe School from 9:30 to 3:30 next Sunday 7 March.
Everybody at Bletchley Rugby Club is delighted for Josh and hopes he continues to impress. Hopefully that promise Tony talked about will see Josh pressing for an England cap.
Well done Josh – keep it up. The coaches at Bletchley will do all they can to help you..
